Un cimitero dove sono sepolti i soldati britannici: inglesi, neozelandesi, canadesi e sikh.

Da vedere assolutamente.

Luogo storico ove si riposano i Caduti della II° Guerra Mondiale appartenenti al Commonwealth.

Luogo di profonda riflessione, alla luce anche di quanto sta accadendo nel mondo e non solo in Ucraina. Tenuto giustamente in modo impeccabile, come meritano i caduti, tutti.♥️

5 stelle per quello che rappresenta. Se oggi ho la possibilità di scrivere e di visitarlo è grazie a questi ragazzi che hanno sacrificato la loro vita per noi. 🥹1 stella al comune⬇️. Assenza di segnaletica per arrivarci e poi, cosa più importante, trovo indecoroso che in un luogo come questo ci sia il tizio che fa jogging😡, oppure flessioni nel prato ove riposano degli eroi. Ragazzini sdraiati con cuffie sui monumenti, oppure che bevono pensando che sia un luogo dove poter fare un pic-nic. Maggiore controllo da parte dell' amministrazione preposta👮👮. È inaccettabile.

Beautiful Commonwealth war cemetery, as they all are. Toilet is locked though.

Mentre ero in viaggio, ovviamente dovevo rendere omaggio ai soldati caduti dalla Polonia e da altri paesi. Posto bellissimo e curato....

Viene in mente quanta sofferenza inutile porta la guerra. Sfortunatamente, molte persone al potere ancora oggi non lo capiscono.

Un luogo dove riflettere delle atrocità dell'umanità..migliaia di RAGAZZI, sottolineo RAGAZZI, età compresa dai 18 ai 25 anni, inviati al fronte per morire...e nulla è cambiato si continua a morire...non ho parole..

An important memorial to WWII

Un posto Magnifico dove riposano solo alcune migliaia di ragazzi provenienti da Canada,inghilterra,nuova zelanda e australia

Very peaceful resting place for the soldiers who took part in an awful war. Very well looked after. Definitely a place to get as close to a first hand account of the history of WW2. My grandfathers' friends are buried here and I thought I would pay my respects on his behalf.

Nice place to see.The Casino War Cemetery is located in the Casino Commune in the province of Frosinone, 139 km southeast of Rome. Take the Autostrada A1 from Rome to Naples and drop off at the casino exit. Take a roundabout, take the third exit and follow the road signs to the casino. The first of the six clearly visible signs leading to the cemetery and monument can be seen on this road. The cemetery is located about 1 km from the railway station in Vient Angelo. Visitors arriving by train are advised to take a taxi from the station. Cemetery Address: S.C. 03043 Casino (FR) Lazio via Angelo. GPS coordinates: latitude 41.477555, longitude: 13.827141. On September 3, 1943, the Allies invaded the Italian mainland and re-entered the Allied War with an armory built with the occupied Italians. Despite strong resistance, progress through southern Italy was rapid, but by the end of October the Allies called the German winter defenses known as the Gustav Line, which stretched from the Garrigliano River in the west to Sangro in the east. Initial attempts to breach the west end of the line failed. The operations in January 1944 landed troops in Anzio behind the German line, but the defense was well organized and did not make any progress until May 18, when the casino was taken over. The site of the Casino War Cemetery was first selected in January 1944, but the development of the war in the first five months of that year made it unusable until Germany withdrew from the casino. In these early months of 1944, the casino saw the fierce struggle of the Italian campaign, proving the most severe obstacles the city and the dominant Monastery Hill faced in advancing to Rome. Most of those buried in the war cemetery died in the wars of these months. Burial or commemoration of the 4,271 Commonwealth soldiers of World War II at the Casino War Cemetery. 289 cemeteries are unknown. Inside the cemetery is the Casino Memorial, a memorial to the more than 4,000 Commonwealth soldiers who took part in the Italian campaign. The cemetery and memorial were designed by Louis de Zoysons.

È tenuto benissimo certo un cimitero è sempre triste da visitare ma a me è alle mie amiche e' piaciuto

Tipico cimitero militare del Commonwealth, ben tenuto e ai piedi di Montecassino.

I libri di storia non rendono il senso di quanto sia atroce una guerra. Da visitare per capire

Un posto che ti lascia senza parole... Un tuffo nella storia....una distesa di anime che si sono sacrificate per liberarci dal nemico ...... Un luogo di pace e di preghiera sotto un cielo azzurro e un meraviglioso prato verde . da consigliare.

Tipico cimitero di guerra inglese che ci mostra quanti poveri giovanissimi guardando l'età dei ragazzi morti per farci vivere Liberi.
