Our street food tour of Catania with Agata was our favourite experience of our six weeks in Italy. Agata was knowledgeable and we learned about the city’s colourful history through delicious food and great company. We learned that in Sicily, politics, language and religion have been fluid over the centuries but food traditions have transcended each of these changes. I’d give more than five stars if I could- this was a brilliant experience!

Book this tour!! It was amazing! We could see Catania through the eyes of a local, discover the typical food, and understand more the food culture and the city itself. Agata is a fantastic tour guide, full of enthusiasm, funny and so knowledgeable! We also made new friends whom we met again in Syracuse. We loved it!

Our tour guide Greta was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of Catania and the food we sampled. While the food was delicious it was mostly fried. By the time we got to dessert most of those in our group were quite full. Consider offering samples of your wonderful local meat and cheeses

Excellent street food tour! I really enjoyed the Sicilian food. Cipollina, arancino, fried fish and horse meat were simply delicious! Agata, our guide, was fantastic and passionate about Sicilian food culture! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have a real local food experience in Catania.

A great introduction to Catania! We did this guided tour on our first day of arrival to Catania: It turned out to be a great introduction to the historic part of the city. Our excellent guide Agatha showed us all (and let us taste!) a great variety of local foods, and introduced us to different neighborhoods, including the vibrant fish market. The fact Agatha also spoke some Norwegian (my native language) only added to the experience :-) She had a lot of knowledge to share, and did so in the most engaging and friendly way possible. A highly recommended experience!

The tour of the market with Agata was wonderful. She is so passionate about her city and the foods of Sicily and she shared lots of anecdotes and useful information. Her English is excellent and she was a generous guide. It was a small group and she answered all our questions. We tasted so much food, all the local delicacies and more, so it was a great value. The visit to the fish market is truly memorable. I highly recommend this experience.

The Streaty Catania Food Tour is a worthwhile tour and is one I recommend to anyone who is eager to learn more about Catania. Our guide, Agata, was very friendly, genuine, knowledgeable and is eager to teach you about her beloved hometown. Catania is rich in history, and that paired with Agata’s passion, made for a great experience. It goes without saying, the street food we tasted during the tour, lived up to the Sicilian standards of deliciousness.

Abbiamo provato i principali cibi di strada di Catania: dalla cipollina, alla Sicilia, all'arancino (che come ci ha raccontato la nostra guida Agata: guai a chiamarlo arancina, rischi che il banconista non ti serva🤣) Ma la prelibatezza che mi ha mandata in estasi è stata la granita, dalla storia che ci ha raccontato alla bontà che difficilmente puoi trovare fuori dalla provincia di Catania. Sono felice di aver partecipato a questo tour e lo raccomando a tutti, soprattutto se volete vedere Catania e il suo street food, con gli occhi di una vera Catanese!

I recently returned from my first trip to Catania, and the experience was greatly enhanced by my tour with Streaty. Everything about the experience was first-rate, from the clear and timely communication in advance to the tour itself. Our guide Agata was a gem. It's easy to find a guide with knowledge but not so easy to find a guide with passion. Agata's passion for her native city was obvious and contagious. I've used many guides in many cities throughout Italy and Agata was one of the best. The whole experience has my highest recommendation.
