These guys are the best!! First of all, an easy-breezy rental process. They are super friendly and get you on bikes and enjoying Lucca without delay. The bikes are great quality, and sized right for everyone in my family. Now, above and beyond all that - my wife's credit card case fell out of her bag and was left in the basket of the bicycle. The guys at Chrono found it and worked with me to get it shipped back to the U.S. Highly recommend!

Bikes in great condition.

We had such a phenomenal two days with Paladino! We rented e-bikes and did a wine and olive oil tasting. Paladino is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and an awesome local guide. He’s owned his shop for 30 years and knows the best routes for a great time! Our friends even brought their dog along for an adventure. Come visit Lucca and check out Chrono Bikes!!

Visiting: Rent bikes from here! Live in Lucca: Trust this team. My family and I were in Lucca for about a month. The single best decision we made was to rent bikes from Chrono Bikes. The price was right. The bikes were great! We got a kid seat, locks, and helmets. Our memories on those bikes are priceless. The selection of "real" bikes, apparel, and supplies is impressive. The family that runs it were so lovely and generous. So grateful for them. We can't wait to come back and ride the walls again.

Hired a bike in summer to explore Tuscany. Excellent service from Paladino who fitted the bike perfectly to my measurements. Also recommended an excellent place for dinner in Lucca. I would have rated them higher if I could.

Avevo solo bisogno dei calzini da ciclismo perché i miei si sono bagnati lungo la strada. Senza chiedere, mi hanno portato uno sgabello per cambiarmi i calzini e la carta da cucina per asciugarmi. Incredibilmente attento! Dopo una piacevolissima conversazione abbiamo ricevuto anche materiale informativo per escursioni in bicicletta nella zona Grazie!

Great and very helpful shop owner! We had issues with our private bikes, got quick help by a repair within 30min. Also we received a recommendation for a close by ice cream shop - great way to fill the unexpected pause with the 4 kids!!

Carlo at Chrono Bikes provided excellent assistance via email in perfect English as we planned our trip from Australia to Lucca for 4 days of riding. He managed to answer all my questions comprehensively and provided a high level of confidence before travelling. Once there we were fitted out by Paladino (the Master) on some excellent Pinarello road bikes with all the gear we needed. The riding, including days to the coast via Pisa and Via Reggio were excellent and the bikes just magic. A small plug for my Hammerhead bike computer that provided hassle-free route planning and turn for turn GPS navigation. Fantastic service all round by the Chrono team - no wonder they have been in the business for 30 years - Excellent!!!!

A special story - not about the excellent Pinarello F5 bike and the super friendly bike staff - but about the elevated superior customer service - and kindness - of the Owner, Paladino. During a Sunday ride, a fall on a descent produced cuts/abrasions and a damaged bike - in the middle of nowhere. As I walked into a small local village, a very kind lady offered assistance - sanitising liquid for the abrasions and even a homecooked meal! Amazing! But....how to get back to Lucca? Fortunately/incredibly...the lady knew the owner of Chrono, Paladino .....numerous phone discussions...and Paladino rode out to the village, fixed the bike, and we rode back to Lucca. I am a very lucky man, thankful for the acts of generosity and revealing the outstanding level of customer service that Chrono provide, Peter, Melbourne

Best bike hire shop in Lucca! A family run business trading for 30 years where they rent not only city bikes suitable for families etc. but high end quality Pinarello road and gravel bikes which are well maintained. Friendly service by Paladino and his son Carlo and helpful route suggestions. Had the pleasure of doing a ride with Paladino! Highly recommended.

Great place to rent bikes! Our family of 5 rented bikes for 1 hour to ride around the city wall. It was a fantastic activity and highly recommend when you are in Lucca! €5/hour/bike. The shop is run by a father and son and they provided excellent service! If you are into road biking, they also rent Pinarellos and have several long routes in the countryside they recommend. We would love to come back and do that one day! (They also do bike repairs and bike sales)

Sono venuto qui pensando di avere un pedale sinistro difettoso (Guarda Keo Blade) e stavo per comprarne un nuovo paio, quando il proprietario prima ha voluto controllare se non fosse qualcos'altro. Alla fine, un po' di grasso sembrava risolvere il problema. Ottimo aiuto, ho fatto una bella chiacchierata e ho anche fatto dei bei percorsi! Ottimo servizio, anche se non parli italiano!

Not your average bike shop we rented top quality bikes, Pinarello, for one week. Paladino and his staff properly adjusted the bikes to our measurements. They have quality brands should you require bibs, jerseys, helmets etc. Their knowledge of routes and personal guidance around the area made our trip much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this shop they have been in business for 30 years and that alone should speak for itself. They speak English which is plus.

The best bike shop and the best local guide for experienced cyclists - Paladino!

Highly recommended, got jerseys and new pants. The owner helped us fix a minor thing with our disk brake. Great hospitality and great shop.

By far the best bike shop & group of guys in Lucca to ride with. Paladino, the owner, will get you properly fitted to a really nice Pinarello. The riding around the Lucchese countryside is gorgeous and a lot of fun. I love this place & love riding with the guys every time I’m in the area. Highly recommended!

If you get there at the time of finals of one of the bike races owner will ask you to watch it wit him and that's how it should be in Italy. Rental price was not low, but I got a brand new Pinarello worth 3500€. I got a puncture at Ponte di Maddalena, can you imagine a better workshop location? ;)

Chrono Bikes in Lucca Italy are +5* as they made a dream come true for me! I requested the rental of a road bike, they rented to me a top notch machine in the Pinarello Paris with electric shifter. They send you out with map to ride some of the most breathtaking roads in the world around Lucca and surrounding towns. They equipped me with everything I needed (shoes, helmet, water bottles) all included in their cost. If you love riding bikes and are in Lucca, I highly recommend Chrono you will not be disappointed! Pricing for this high end bike was very fair, my only regret was I didn't get a chance to rent it a couple of more times during my stay. Thank-you Chrono, I want to return to Lucca just to ride with you again!

Abbiamo fatto il percorso in e-bike di 57 km Lucca-Matraia-Montecarlo-Lucca, ed è stato bellissimo. La mappa che ti danno per Google Maps, il percorso, la comodità delle biciclette e il trattamento sono incredibili! Senza molta esperienza in bicicletta, lo abbiamo fatto senza problemi. Ci siamo fermati a Buonamico per provare i vini ed è stato tutto fenomenale. Grazie, consigliato al 100%!

I have been renting road bikes from Chrono Bikes for 10+ years now and Paladino is the best! I just rented a Pinarello and the bike is perfect. These guys are knowledgeable and friendly with great service and great bikes.
