Investing in DIW planning services was the best decision my husband and I made for our wedding. Our planner, Jacopo, made the entire process completely seamless even with a 6 hour time difference. We live in London and we worked with Mariana from DIW to create our dreamy 3-day wedding event in Siena, Italy. We would give DIW a million stars if we could, my partner and I were marred in a traditional Indian celebration over the course of 3 days in the Tuscan countryside. Our priorities were successfully blending Indian tradition and culture with the beauty of the Italian landscape, making sure our guests were completely taken care of, and making sure our personalities shined through at every opportunity. When we came into contact with Rosanna it was clear that this team was passionate and very well equipped to create the wedding of our dreams, but once we started actually planning with Jacopo, we were able to really see his expertise come to life. Jacopo, quite simply, made our DREAMS COME TRUE, every vendor that we were matched with was of the highest quality, every decision we made was done with so much thoughtfulness and care, every last minute hiccup was taken care of without us having to worry about anything going wrong. And truly, our wedding flew by immaculately, and with both of us as the bride and groom being able to thoroughly enjoy every moment almost as if we were guests ourselves. Another very important point is how well Jacopo and his team took care of our guests. Indian culture emphasizes hospitality and every guest has individually noted how thoughtful the entire experience felt for them. We had a lot of complicated religious and dietary restrictions that the team took the time to understand fully and accommodate for in the most seamless way. Everything we thought would be an added complication and a burden to the planning, was handled with so much respect, and everyone felt very well taken care of. Jacopo also really got to know us throughout our time planning this wedding together, and as he got to understand what makes us happy his suggestions and ideas pulled the whole wedding together and we could really trust that he would always do what was in our best interest. It was incredibly liberating to know that your planning team is not just a team that is executing on a plan, but they’re a team that can intuit your feelings to make the wedding perfect for you! And bottom line is, we just loved planning alongside Jacopo. He and his team are truly wonderful people who made this journey so enjoyable and so bittersweet when it finally came to an end! Fantastic team and great people! I just had my wedding in Positano and it was all thanks to Simona at DIW. I hired them about 20 months before my wedding and they truly took the reins in a good way! For someone in America planning in another country is tough. You do have to use their list of vendors, but it is because they have worked with and vetted them throughly. Simona and I had many meetings over this time and she was a delight. They were beyond accommodating to a large change in plans (on our part), which allowed us to still have that day of our dreams! Our wedding weekend with family and friends in the Val d’Orcia, Tuscany was beyond all our expectations and would have been impossible to organise from the UK without the detailed and diligent help of Distinctive Italy Weddings. Hiring DIW was the best, most impactful decision we made during the entire planning process - we would highly recommend them to anyone planning a destination wedding in Italy, and even doubly so if it's an Indian/Hindu wedding. Of all the vendor options we looked at, DIW by far had the most experience and therefore worth every penny! The actual day-to-day planning was done by Simona and Stefania - they were an absolute dream team. First, they were incredibly organized, helped in part by their centralized planning website. Having this tool was actually a very unique offering and while we underestimated the value in the beginning, it was so impactful as we got closer to the wedding. Second, there was also great communication throughout the process (while less frequent during their busy season, they still provided regular updates!) Not only was DIW fantastic to work with, their vendor partners were also amazing! They have a short list of trusted vendors and generally provide a select number of options to choose from, which also makes the selection process so much easier. During the wedding itself, Simona and Stefania were rock stars. Everything ran very smoothly behind the scenes, to the point that many of our friends and family noticed and were complimenting DIW's work. During the wedding weekend, unexpected weather came through and we had to make some last-minute adjustments to move some events indoors. All it took was a quick text or a little side conversation with Simona/Stefania, and then all of their magic -- coordinating with all the vendors, deciding how best to lay out the Plan B, etc. -- would "just happen." In the midst of all the wedding day stress/chaos, then this experienced day-of coordination was absolutely priceless. Thank you so much Simona, Stefania, Rosanna, and the rest of the DIW team! Truly the best wedding planner. If anyone can make dreams come true, it's Distinctive Italian Weddings. I cannot stress this enough – DIW planners have everything covered and you are in THE very best of hands throughout the entire process. As someone who has planned and executed high-brow events at work, I went into this knowing that we needed a wedding planner who thought 10 steps ahead and anticipated every one of our needs along with a strong contingency plan... DIW thinks 20 steps ahead! Planning a wedding during the pandemic in nine months from abroad is no easy task, but DIW made everything easy for us. From day one, Rosanna understood our wedding vision and was so diligent about bringing us a range of solutions for our most important day. While our wedding was small (54 guests), we wanted to do it in a big way so we planned a 3-day wedding weekend with DIW. Our main planners, Jacopo & Simona, were an absolute godsend – Extremely responsive, meticulous, professional, knowledgeable. Jacopo is incredibly skilled and made us feel at ease during every step of the process... Jacopo's acumen (wedding and beyond) is truly outstanding. Upon our arrival in Italy, he prioritized each of our asks no matter how big or small; he was there to answer every one of our questions and made sure nothing got lost in translation. The DIW Team was SO accommodating and took care of everything for all of our guests including our grandmother and two young nieces. Concerned with rain on your wedding day? No issue – It rained for about 20 minutes in the evening right before dinner, so we had to pivot quickly and shift one location of our reception indoors... Jacopo seamlessly handled this; none of our guests even noticed so we were able to relax and enjoy the moment with all of our friends and family. Our wedding day was outrageously beautiful in every way... This team truly puts love into everything they do, and it meant the world to us to have a reliable, trustworthy, and gracious team right there with us. Bravo DIW – We love you!!! DIW really delivered the wedding of our dreams 1) First of all: super happy to have had a planner - it made our lives so much easier. 2) DIW ended up recommending all the vendors we worked with and we cannot stress enough that they were all TOP-NOTCH (flowers, food, music, photographer; H&MU etc.). Typically, they would share multiple options (across price ranges) and we then chose a vendor based on their experience, our style and/or budget which always made it pretty smooth (esp. to tick off "big planning items") 3) In terms of working style, Jacopo & Junko really LISTENED to everything we said (even if we sometime shared "tougher" feedback). We had so many guests saying that the whole weekend was so "us", which is really a testament to the DIW experience, vision & planning. Note that we started planning early, meaning that sometimes it felt things were not moving "fast enough" BUT you really have to trust the system & the DIW planners because they know what they are doing! 4) DIW's support the 2-4 weeks leading up to the wedding was especially incredible. They design the final and super detailed timeline & your wedding program. This was so so so valuable to make everything come together and come to life. We could be 1000% relaxed the days prior and “the weekend of” because of the DIW preparation and presence. Thanks again!

We are still in awe over the magical fairytale wedding that Distinctive Italy Weddings was able to execute. From day one, we loved how personable their whole team was. As Americans looking to get married in Italy, we had no idea where to begin. But after one call with Rosanna, it was an easy choice to decide to work with DIW. We had a wonderful experience working with our main wedding planners Jacopo and Junko. They helped us narrow down locations and the most perfect venue with easy virtual venue tours. Throughout every step, they listened to us and understood our vision and helped translate that across every detail with each of our vendors. They were very prompt and advocated for our needs with their vendors, even when we had very particular requests, and they were persistent in making sure all the custom details were just right. We will admit, it was not always easy understanding the cultural differences of an Italian wedding, so having DIW was absolutely critical to navigate it all. When we arrived in Florence and our fairytale all unfolded, DIW had everything covered for the entire weekend so we could fully immerse ourselves in the moment. Our guests all raved that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. From the gorgeous custom florals, the delicious catering, the epic entertainment, and the most breathtaking venue, it was pure magic. After a year of planning with DIW, we were so sad to have it end... Jacopo truly cared about us and that is a rare quality to find! Stefania and the team at Distinctive Italy Weddings put together a phenomenal wedding for us in Lake Como. My husband and I got married in Ravello, in the Amalfi Coast in 2022 and the whole team at DIW were unbelievable. We had Mariana and Marilena looking after us and I can not fault them. We provided entertainment for Akash and Kana's wedding. Distinctive Italy Weddings served as the wedding planners. The team ensured that every detail was thought out in detail. We provided the Dhol drummers, Chris Williams on the saxophone, and myself as the DJ. The party had a fantastic feel and was amazing. The couple chose a breathtaking location with breathtaking views. It has great decoration. As a DJ, they made sure that everything was in order and that the sound was perfect. I appreciate the wonderful experience.

Overall, we thought DIW provided outstanding services - they took the time to understand the vision we had for our wedding, and remained flexible as we worked through the various parts of the event! We appreciated their guidance especially in working through the venue selection, and food & beverage and decor proposals - they were committed to helping us find the best setting for our event, as well as best food, beverage, and decor selections in our budget. Distinctive Italy was so incredible with planning our wedding in Amalfi. We’re from California and I was worried about how planning would go from such a distance, and even more so during COVID times. Rosanna, Stefania, and the whole team were wonderful throughout the whole process – very communicative and full of suggestions and tips to make everything go smoothly. The actual day was so, so beautiful. They talked me down when thunderstorms looked like we would get rained out, tracked down some accessories we thought were lost, and generally just made sure everything went off without a hitch. Absolutely 5 stars across the board - I was worried about doing everything remotely but really couldn't be happier with the outcome. All of their vendors were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things.

Distinctive Italy did a phenomenal job planning our destination wedding and wedding related events in Lake Como! They were very professional and easy to deal with (even though we are located in the US) and did a great job re-planning our wedding twice since we had to push it back two times due the pandemic! Once we were finally able to have our wedding, all of our wedding events were executed perfectly! Everything was done just as we envisioned and it all went super smoothly.
