The best authentic restaurant in Siena that I’ve found. Simple yet delicious food, lots of local people eat there, and only a few tourists, small menu which changes frequently, you can try dishes that are difficult to get elsewhere. Will return there once back to Siena.

Surprisingly good pasta. There's no fish here if you mistake the name. Extremely reasonable.

We're no experts but it seemed like very authentic, home cooked food. Lovely, cosy little restaurant with nice house wine and reasonable prices. Ordering was a little awkward but that is entirely our own fault for speaking very little Italian. Thoroughly recommend.

Una piccola osteria con specialità locali ottimamente preparate a prezzi ragionevoli, gestita da una famiglia molto amichevole. Questo è anche uno dei rari posti a Siena dove si può mangiare in tutta tranquillità senza essere circondati da musica ad alto volume.

It is a very retreated sort of restaurant, owned and run by a family of locals that have this service in their blood, it looks like! The offerings in the menu, to an extent different in different days, are all home cooked and 100% traditional (old style toscan quinine)

We had ‘Pici al burista’ and ‘Papardelle al ragu’. Really delicious! Authentic food experience and cozy place.

This was an accidental but absolutely incredible gem. The place we looked for was unexpectedly closed and Fischi was a few meters away. We walked in and I swear it smelled like Grandma’s kitchen - it was like being transported back in time. The pasta was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere cute and cozy and the service was excellent. But the dish that struck me the most was (i think) Sformato Di Cavolfiore or “cauliflower flan”. It was not a dessert but an amazing savory side dish. If you are in Siena, you must go! Oh yeah and the wine was awesome too!

Piccolo ristorante lontano dalle trappole per turisti del centro! Abbiamo potuto assaggiare i tradizionali Pici all'aglione e la trippa! Delizioso ! Concludiamo con l'assortimento di dolci speciali della città: perfetti con un po' di caffè per concludere il pasto. I gestori sono stati molto gentili!

Quiet, charming, family owned and run, wonderful food. It's off the beaten path and not over run with tourists. Only for those who truly want to slow down and know Italy intimately. You'll not regret it!

Una piccola osteria in cui si può mangiare la tipicità senese. Abbiamo mangiato un ottimo tagliere con degli altrettanto ottimi sott'oli, gestori gentilissimi e locale molto accogliente. Il misto dolci senese ti fa capire la differenza fra il genuino e l'artefatto.

Do yourself a favor: skip the tourist traps, go straight to this place and start enjoying the real thing! It's by far the most authentic restaurant I've tried in Siena. Simple yet excellent food, served with a smile and accompanied by excellent wine. I wish I had discovered this place earlier. Had Pici al buristo, Pici all'aglione, gnocchi, chicken... and all were wonderful. I could eat here everyday!

Went there for dinner, this was in March and the place was basically empty. I got a plate of pasta a meal of 3 meatballs and two glasses of wine. Having traveled from Rome to Florence and Sicilia, I didn’t think the food was any better or worse than other cities. Meal wasn’t any cheaper, I believe I spent 33 Euros

Posto caratteristico e proprietari gentilissimi. Ho mangiato bene e speso il giusto. Ottimi i tagliolini al pesto di cavolo nero e rigatino.

Trattoria piccola ma accogliente piatti tradizionali ottimi necessaria prenotazione prezzi convenienti da provare.

Ci sono stato con un amico lo scorso maggio per una piccola cena. Il posto era carino. Il server era appena iniziato lo stesso giorno, credo. Era molto amichevole. Ho mangiato gli ubriachi. Erano deliziosi. La persona con cui ero è intollerante al glutine e abbiamo chiesto un'insalata e se fosse possibile aggiungere 2 fette di prosciutto pagando un extra. Purtroppo la proprietaria si è rifiutata, non ricordo se aveva detto che forse il prosciutto era entrato in contatto con il glutine o se era perché dovevamo prendere l'altro piatto che conteneva il prosciutto.

Hard to understand the overall reviews as this has been the worst meal of our 6 week trip. Not horrible - just not good. The osso bucco had okay flavor but wasn't tender - I didn't need a knife, but had to really work the fork. The gnocchi with pumpkin and nuts wasn't good. The gnocchi itself was tough and chewy, while the sauce really didn't really have much cohesive flavor. When the server collected one of the 2/3 full plate she asked "Didn't like?" to which we replied "No, didn't like." When the other server collected the other 2/3 full dish, she commented "No good?" to which replied "No good." That was it. No apology. No offer of something else. No discount. No free dessert or digestif. I would strongly suggest another dining option based on our experience.

Il posto che vorresti trovare in ogni viaggio. Piccola osteria ma molto accogliente, con pochi piatti nel menù ma tutti ottimi per conoscere i sapori del senese! Consigliatissimo!
