Prima volta qui, con mia moglie e il piccoletto. Io non scrivo spesso recensioni ma qui davvero se lo meritano. Dal primo all’ultimo e la qualità della materia prima è pazzesca. Mai trovato in vita mia pesce così fresco. Ora l’asticella è alta, speriamo rimanga sempre così. Bravi!!!

I first discovered Al Covo when I was in Venice for the Biennale in 2022 but could never snag a reservation. This year, I booked a table a few months ago and LOVED my dinner there this week. The location is wonderful (very near Hotel Metropole in the Castello area) and the service is fabulous. Everything was delicious but THE highlight for me were the squash blossoms.

SOMEBODY FEED PHIL on Netflix "Probably the best restaurant in Venice..." AGREED. A+ OFF the beaten path and finding it is half the fun. Do not miss. Everything is fresh from the morning Rialto Fish Market and you can taste this amazing quality and love of preparation ❤️ in every bite. We had an apartment nearby for a month and ate here 5 or 6 times. Every meal exceeded the last. Venice on a plate. Prepared by a family with generations who are local. A+++

Visiting Al Covo was one of the main stops in Venice, having planned it well ahead of time. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and out. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful in making food and wine selections. Presentation was nothing short of artistic and the taste was even greater. So glad we were able to visit!

We had the 7 course meal and every dish was delicious and showed the best of local fish and produce. The highlight was the raw Adriatic Sea prawn - the butteriest raw fish I have ever had… quite mindboggling

Non sono un fan degli gnocchi... ma questi gnocchi erano assolutamente di prima classe. Anche tutto il resto è stato meraviglioso.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Venice, with excellent service.

From the moment we walked in we were treated to a wonderful experience! Attentive, discreet, friendly and highly informed staff. We chose the 7 course tasting menu and it was out of this world, especially the pesce crudo. It was the highlight of our trip to Venice and I would definitely recommend. Book ahead.

Amazing food and service!

Tutto perfetto. Esperienza bellissima, piatti ottimi e di esecuzione impeccabile. A mio avviso, il miglior ristorante di Venezia.

Outstanding food meets outstanding service in this traditional Venetian restaurant that feels like home. Our crudo was incredibly fresh, the crab pasta melted in your mouth and the sole was perfectly cooked. Our best culinary experience in the city by a mile.

Food, service, atmosphere = A++ Recommendations on point, food quality fantastic, clientele also good. The team are amazing, as a solo traveller I haven't experienced service like this in Italy, anywhere else! Bookings recommended, I managed to get a walk-in only because of a no-show

The service at Al Covo is exceptional. Bunch of amazing servers. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed most of the 7 course except for one dish which was one of the main course, it was a fried crab dish. The wine selection is also great. Highly recommended from us.

Wait staff was the star of the show. Food a reasonable supporting cast, but no fear of stealing the show. Rules printed in bold on the bottom of the (English) menu were off putting - “minimum 2 courses per person, €8 cover charge per person unless each person spent at least €60, gratuities not included in price”. Of our 14 meals out in Venice, the highest coperto (cover charge) was €2 per person and tipping is not at all customary in Italy (or anywhere in Europe for that matter). Given these strangle “rules”, I can only guess the restaurant has seen 1 too many cruise ship senior citizens ordering an appetizer and a glass of wine only to occupy a table for a few hours…? Sadly would not return.

We had booked our table two weeks in advance and were truly satisfied by our choice. Everything was perfect. The ambiance, wine, food and service. We would recommend it!

Quando la qualità emerge, tutto il resto è noia. Potrebbe sembrare una frase banale e invece questo ristorante esprime il meglio della tradizione veneziana. Un servizio cortese, altamente professionale, denota che il cliente è al centro del loro lavoro e non un semplice turista da "spennare". Eccellente il baccalà mantecato come antipasto, seguito da tagliolini al granchio di grande qualità. E che dire dei dolci?! Spaziali..... Di spessore la carta dei vini, dove la mia scelta andava dai " cugini" nel vicino Friuli, Venezia non si offenderà..... Desidero ringraziare il titolare e la gentile signora per l'accoglienza e cortesia dimostrata, segno di grande rispetto, "merce" ormai rara in questo mondo consumistico...

Merita, per qualità del cibo, per il vortese servizio, e per il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci ritornerò sicuramente. Nevio.

La nostra esperienza è stata positiva in quanto il servizio è sempre eccezionale e il locale è molto accogliente (forse i tavoli erano troppo vicini tra loro), peccato che i piatti fossero così pochi e il prezzo così alto. Ci era stato consigliato ma non ha soddisfatto le aspettative.

Delizioso, raffinato, professionale. Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante per il compleanno di mio marito. I piatti erano deliziosi, freschi, basati su buoni prodotti del mercato leggermente speziati. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, sorridente e attento.
