Maria did everything fast and kindly. It was so nice experience. This area is ztl but you can feel relief because they provide special permit for pick up and return. Compare to other company, it was safe and comfortable. I have 3 times rental experiences in Italy.

No problems. Straightforward car return. Pleasant attendant. Important note: the Google street view is OLD! If you approach heading east, on the tracks, you’ll see the return garage clearly. (In current street view, May 2024, it’s just an ordinary garage.)

I was a bit hesitate with choosing this location after seeing past reviews but we had an excellent experience. The location was very easy to find, and our drop off was quick and seamless. The gentleman that helped us was extremely friendly.

Perfect service! We booked a car(Full coverage)for 1 day about three weeks before our arrival to Florence. The service was quick, the lady at the office was very helpful. Prices are little high but you know this before you rent from Hertz. Our deposit was returned exactly 1 month after the rental. No extra charges were held.

Servizio di prima classe! Abbiamo noleggiato un veicolo dal 27 al 29 aprile per visitare la Toscana. Dall'accoglienza alla consegna del veicolo, il team è stato super attento e molto disponibile. Ho noleggiato il veicolo con loro e, una volta arrivato con i miei bagagli (che erano tanti), il personale mi ha immediatamente trasferito in un'auto più grande. Al ritorno, siamo stati molto ben assistiti dal signor Moustafa, che ha effettuato il check-out in modo estremamente rapido ed efficiente. A lui e all'intero team Hertz i miei più sinceri ringraziamenti!

Everything about our experience was fantastic: friendly service from and banter with the staff at the front counter and the car pick-up area, everything signed off and keys handed over within 10 mins, and we were on our way soon afterwards. We pre-booked a small-size vehicle but when we arrived they had all been allocated, so we were upgraded to a larger car at no extra cost. The reviews suggesting that you need to supply a credit card are completely false as I was able to use a debit card with no dramas. Would happily rent through Hertz Firenze again 👌

Excellent experience at Hertz SMN. Patient and provided helpful insights. Return instruction provided is only for the last turn in the ZTL area. It is a short walk from the train station and is very manageable.

Booked a classic Fiat 500 ( got a very good Abarth) for a day with them, I guess 2 days prior. Just followed the instructions on the app and everything was smooth. Called the toll free number for location, the staff picked up and helped. The location you see on Google maps is actually enough. I was quite reluctant after booking the car, when I read all these reviews at once while getting there. But it seemed pretty simple, easy, hassle free booking. They asked a few details for verification, handed over the car. The car was in a very good condition. They explained the fuel charges etc, I returned the car with full tank, they charged me only for the rental as committed. The night shift staff in the drop off was very helpful and friendly. The women at the reception could be a little more friendly and nicer. Else everything was a 10/10 for me!

Had a great, easy experience renting a car here for 10 days recently, dropped off with no issue at the Florence airport. There was about a 10-15 minute line but the staff was great, really helpful, efficient, and accommodating with excellent English. They didn’t try to upsell us on anything. The car was very nice and clean, an almost brand new Peugeot. One thing to know about driving in Italy is no car zone (ZTL), but they give you a temporary exemption so you can leave the area after picking up the car (with very clear directions). I was concerned by the negative reviews but they did not match our experience at all. Make sure you bring your credit card, international drivers license (if from the US), and passport. I was not asked for a second credit card as others have mentioned. Would rent from here again with no hesitation.

Tons of bad reviews so I was nervous. But our experience was smooth all throughout and staff did good job. We had a reservation booked directly with Hertz and no issues in getting our car at our scheduled pick up time. They processed my AAA international license fine. Car was clean and correct. Location is within ZTL zone and staff states that so long as we left directly from the zone at pick-up and drop-off without detours, that we wouldn't be fined. Will see if that is true in several months and will update if I get a fine in the mail. We filled our tank before drop off and no issues at drop offs nor unexpected charges so far. Our final bill was as what was quoted at time I made my reservation months before. I was sole driver. They did not ask for a second credit card from me that others mentioned.

L'auto ecologica che abbiamo ordinato non c'era, e probabilmente non c'è mai. Code molto lunghe anche con prenotazione anticipata (~30 minuti). L'auto era pulita e funzionale. WC disgustoso. Il distributore automatico di bevande ha ingoiato i nostri soldi; Il dipendente ha detto che questo era successo anche a lui, ma non se ne è parlato. Situato in posizione centrale. La maggior parte del personale era gentile.

Ero preoccupato perché il voto era così basso, ma sono rimasto soddisfatto. Sia il ritiro che il ritorno si sono svolti senza problemi e il personale è stato cordiale. Sono andato non appena ha aperto alle 8:00 e ho potuto ritirare la macchina in 30 minuti e partire alle 8:30. Anche il lavoro è stato svolto rapidamente.

Despite negative reviews we had a good experience with our rental car in Tuscany. The car was in a pristine condition (a new Fiat 500) and we everything went smoothly. The people working there were okay. Trying to push the access insurance that we had already paid through the comparison website but we refused.

Beware that you will be charged based on an 'estimate', because Herz is not able to accurately know how much their services are worth. What a genius concept! I was charged 46€ more for gas although I gave the vehicle back with a full tank, and 10€ for ??? (The final invoice is pretty unreadable, nice jobs from the lawyers). I did not bother wasting time on an already lost battle, I am done letting big American car rental companies authorize my credit card, ever. I was suspicious when returning the car, the staff did not inspect anything and told me to leave, only to stab me in the back 2 weeks later

I experienced a significant delay in receiving my car, lasting around 40 minutes, due to the presence of just one agent handling check-ins. However, aside from the extended wait, everything proceeded without any issues, and the agent demonstrated exceptional professionalism.

Impiegato super cordiale che ci ha parlato tedesco ed è andato tutto relativamente velocemente. Abbiamo ricevuto esattamente l'auto che avevamo prenotato. Super soddisfatto! Non capisco affatto i commenti qui!

This is why I stick with hertz....I can talk but then. I needed a rental car for an emergency and made the reservation on the phone, went to this location 30 minutes later and was in a vehicle. Thank you people at Hertz!!

Buona esperienza presso Hertz a Firenze Abbiamo noleggiato una Opel Corsa, categoria C e non abbiamo avuto problemi a ritirare l'auto con la nostra carta di debito (carta Visa francese per me). Eravamo un po' stressati per questa questione della carta di credito/debito. Controlla la categoria del veicolo che stai trasportando sul sito web, potrebbe rimanere bloccato con alcune carte di debito il giorno in cui ritiri il veicolo. Bellissima Opel Corsa 24.000 Km + Apple Car Play, baule che può ospitare una valigia grande + 2 borse piccole da viaggio!
