This was a wonderful experience! The car pick-up was easy and the location was on the edge of town so we didn't have to worry about driving in the city too much before being out in the country in Tuscany. This rental provided the amazing opportunity to experience the Tuscan countryside without the crowds and organized tours. The car was so cute and nice to drive!

Marc was very informative, accommodating and forgiving. I accidentally booked at the wrong location and I arrived late, but he was 100 understanding. Not annoyed and gave us important travel tips. Definitely saving this business in my favorites for my next visit to Tuscany

My family were incredibly happy with our rental and service experience with Tuscany by Car. Having started our trip with one of the major rental providers, we felt the service received from the team in Firenze was incredibly friendly, informative and most importantly - great cars at fair rates. We realised shortly into our hire that the car we hired would not be large enough for all of our luggage. The team were very helpful in arranging a larger car for us, and it was all handled incredibly smoothly - allowing us to relax and enjoy our holiday. If you want to pinch pennies you could probably look elsewhere and find a better rate (and lots of risk and hidden charges), but for total peace of mind and stellar service, Tuscany by Car is highly recommended!!!

Renting and returning car was easy. We loved our Great mini Cooper Convertible.

Outstanding service. 5+ stars! From booking to return everything was seamless and professional. I don't rent cars often so during booking I had a lot of questions that I kept sending them about type of car, insurance, child car seat, international driving permit, etc. And I had to change my dates as well. Through all the communication they replied quickly and were very patient and clearly answered my questions. Picking up the car was a breeze. At the garage they were very kind and gave us a map to explain how to get out of the city to avoid the ZTL zone. We were given a beautiful new Fiat Panda Hybrid that was only a month old with 3K km. Returning the car also very easy and the same day the deposit blocked on my credit card was released. Trustworthy company and highly recommended!

Tuscany by Car’s high rating really stood up to it reputation. The most professional and pleasant experience in Italy overall, while dealing with different types of business and people. We wanted an automatic and the only option available was convertible Mini cooper which was the icing on the cake and made our tuscan countryside experience very memorable. Their staff spoke well, very welcoming and very informative. Car receiving and return process is very simple and is done at a garage which is not very far from their office. I Highly recommend this place to everyone looking to rent a car in Florence.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Tuscany by Car. First off, they offer great rates at a great location, with multiple cars to choose from, including some classics. They are located in a great and accessible area, yet still on the outside of the ZTL so we never had to worry about accidentally entering. They were super quick with getting us our car and provided excellent instructions and directions based on where we wanted to go. We only rented the car for a day, but it was completely worth it. I'd rent from them again if we're ever back in Tuscany.

A unique experience in a very problematic field. We rented a car for two days to Tuscany, the service, the explanations were precise and clear, and the welcome was pleasant and reassuring. Esperienza eccellente Abbiamo noleggiato una Fiat 500c ibrida, abbiamo girato tutta la Toscana e la Spezia. Eravamo preoccupati per tutto quello che si dice sul noleggio auto in Italia (sovrattassamenti carta, truffe, ecc.) ma non è successo niente di tutto ciò. I ragazzi di Tuscany sono stati molto cordiali e rilassati, ricevere l'auto è stato rapido e senza problemi. Altamente raccomandato!

Probably the best car rental company I have rented from. The people are very friendly and the process is quick and easy. We rented a car for several days and then they let us take a scooter for a day when we tired of driving. We thought they were among the nicest people we met in Italy.

Easy and nice experience. No surprise costs, the car was new. You should use waze or a similar app to avoid the city zone wherr you get fined, which is very near the pick up/drop off point. Only bad detail was that I asked(once) for an itemized bill after the delivery of the car and never recieved it. I didn't really need it since the charges were what was expected, though.

Forget about all known and advertised rental companies! This is the place. I got there by accident while waiting in line at a competitor across the street. I saw their office on the other side of the road, I checked the reviews posted on Google and all I can say is that I'm super grateful I had to wait on that line. Everyone in the office for me deserves A+ for customer service. Even though I rented a car for just a day (and a compact car), hence not being the most attractive customer to get, I received a level of attention as if I paid premium. Starting with Lorenzo who was beyond helpful by providing me trip planner and advised me where to park in Siena (for the most convenient and pleasant experience), to Marco who was extremely patient with all my questions (like where is the closest gas station to refill it on the way back etc.). He even borrowed me a charger that I can use as my phone was running on low battery. The office is close to the train station in Florence, on a street that has plenty of options for car rentals. I advise you to skip all and just head to the office of TuscanyByCar. I not only received a terrific customer service, but my rate was at least 40% cheaper to what I found online at other rental car companies. The place for car pickup and dropoff is 15 steps away from the office. The only thing I had hard time finding was the keybox when returning the vehicle (at the very end of the garage, mounted on the wall) but the people in the parking garage were nice enough to guide me. Thanks to everyone from Tuscany by Car and I wish your business all the success. You trully deserve it! P.S. On second glance I might have to lower my score later (will confirm in the next days, weeks or months) as I just found that Florence has zones that are forbidden for everyone but residents, bus or taxi during different times of the day. I would've appreciate if I was warned about this by the people in the office. I wasn't and I will probably have to pay hefty fines in the next days as the regular Google Maps navigation didn't warn me about it and drove me right trough the bridges. My fault for not knowing (not the office for the city rules) obviously so not going to take a lot of stars from my review, but will keep this information here and hopefully the office starts notifying people as part of the rental process in the future. If I don't get any fines (unlikely), I will post an update. Update: I just received my fine as expected (8 months later). The amount I have to pay is 70 euro. Still, I won't take stars away from my review as at the end of the day what's most important is whether I would return there on my next trip and whether I would recommend this company to a friend - the answer to both is ABSO DAMN LUTELY! Still, from the bottom of my heart to everyone in the office PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let everyone know about the zones in Firenze as some people (myself included) forget to do the proper research beforehand.

We just came back from a trip and rented a Hyundai Staria passenger van that was great. It was spacious and clean. We picked up the van at Florence airport and dropped off at Rome airport both pick up and drop off were seamless. Communication with Tuscany By Car was perfect from beginning to end. I was a apprehensive at the beginning based on stories I read dealing with other rental companies, but this was not the case with Tuscany By Car. Definitely recommend them and look for ward to using them again on my next visit. Grazie!

Wonderful experience. I was apprehensive because some other car rentals have bad reviews but this place has amazing reviews and they truly lived up to their reputation. From the train station it was a short walk to the car rental. We had a brand new compact automatic SUV waiting for us. Compact vehicles work best in the small roads. We drove to Tuscany and roamed around different towns and villages with ease because the car had GPS. Returning the car was easy, just park in the garage and return the key. There will be a hold on your credit card in addition to the rental charges but the hold gets reversed once the car is inspected and returned. Fill up the petrol tank before you enter the small Florence streets. The staff at this place are so friendly and patient in explaining everything. Made the trip to Italy even more wonderful.

Tuscany by Car made my first ever car rental in Italy a breeze, and everyone I communicated with was kind and patient. Picking up the car was quick and straightforward; I was very pleased to get exactly the kind of car I had booked (which often doesn't happen with other car rental companies); the location makes it very easy to depart Firenze and avoid the ZTL zone; after-hours drop-off was as simple as pickup. I would highly recommend Tuscany by Car to anyone needing a rental car in/around Firenze!
